1. Applications are invited for the Entrance Examination for Admission to Integrated Five Year
LL.B Course 2016-17 in the four Government Law Colleges in Kerala and in the Private Selffinancing
Law Colleges in Kerala which enter into seat sharing agreement with the State
Government.
2. Eligibility for Admission:
(i) Nativity: Applicant should be an Indian Citizen.[See clause 6(i) of the Prospectus]
(ii) Academic Qualifications: Applicant should have passed the Kerala Higher Secondary
Examination or any other examination recognised as equivalent thereto by Universities in
Kerala (or) should have passed 10+2 Course recognised by the Educational Authority of
Central or State Government (or) should possess such academic qualifications which are
considered as equivalent to such 10+2 Course by the Bar Council of India, with a minimum of
45% marks. Candidates seeking admission under SEBC category should have passed the
qualifying examination with a minimum of 42% marks and SC/ST category should have passed
the qualifying examination with a minimum of 40% marks. Candidates who are
appearing/have appeared for the qualifying examination this year are also eligible to apply,
subject to the condition that they should produce the pass certificate and mark list of the
qualifying examination at the time of admission.
(iii) Age: The applicant should have completed 17 years of age as on 31.12.2016.There is no
upper age limit for admission to the Integrated Five Year LL-B Course.
(iv) Qualifying Standards in the Entrance Examination: To qualify in the Entrance
Examination, and thereby figure in the rank list, a General/SEBC category applicant should
secure a minimum of 10% of the total marks (600 marks) in the Entrance Examination whereas
a candidate belonging to SC/ST category should get a minimum of 5% of the total marks.
3. Entrance Examination: The Entrance Examination will be conducted at Thiruvananthapuram,
Ernakulam, Thrissur and Kozhikode on 21.08.2016 (Sunday). The Entrance Examination will
be of 3 hours duration (10.00 am to 1.00 pm) and will consist of 200 Objective Type
Questions. The questions will be based on General English, General Knowledge and Aptitude
for Legal Studies.
4. How and When to Apply: Candidates seeking admission to the Course can apply online on the
website www.cee.kerala.gov.in of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations from
29.07.2016 to 08.08.2016, 3 p.m. While applying online, the candidate has to upload a
recent passport size colour photograph in jpeg format, with light background, of size between
15kb and 30kb and dimensions 150 (width) x 200 (height) in pixels.
5. Application Fee: For General and SEBC candidates, the application fee is Rs.600/- (Rupees
Six Hundred Only) and for SC/ST Candidates the application fee is Rs.300/- (Rupees Three
Hundred Only).The required fee can be remitted by online Payment or by way of Demand
Draft for the requisite amount drawn from a Nationalized Bank in favour of the Commissioner
for Entrance Examination, payable at Thiruvananthapuram. In case of payment by Demand
Draft, the original Demand Draft should be sent along with the printout of the application.
6. Last date and time for receipt of printout of application: Candidates should take a printout
of the online-submitted application and affix a recent passport size photograph, identical to
the one uploaded, in the space provided and get it attested by a Government Gazetted
Officer. The candidate should sign the declaration and then affix the thumb impression in the
space provided. This application along with the requisite documents should be forwarded to
the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, 5th Floor, Housing Board Buildings, ,
Santhinagar, Thiruvananthapuram – 695 001, either by registered post/speed post/hand
delivery, so as to reach the office before 5 pm on 08.08.2016 (Monday). The envelope
should be superscribed “APPLICATION FOR INTEGRATED FIVE YEAR LL.B ENTRANCE
EXAMINATION 2016”.
7. Belated, incomplete and defective applications will be summarily rejected and no
correspondence will be made in this regard. The Commissioner for Entrance Examinations will
not be responsible for any postal delay.
8. Candidates will not be allowed to include any additional information in the application form
or to submit any certificate / document claiming reservation or any benefits, after the
submission of the application.
9. Certificates submitted in the prescribed format available along with the printout of application
alone will be accepted for claiming special reservation.
10. Admit Card: The candidates registered for the Entrance Examination can download their
Admit Cards from the website www.cee.kerala.gov.in from 16.08.2016 onward. The admit
card thus obtained should be brought to the examination hall.
11. Allotment of Seats: Allotment will be made by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations
in accordance with the rank obtained by the candidates in the Entrance Examination and the
order of preference of institutions (options) registered by the candidates during online
Centralised Allotment Process (CAP). The details of CAP will be notified on the website and in
leading newspapers. Individual intimation in this regard will not be sent to candidates.
12. The Entrance Examination and subsequent allotments will be based on the provisions laid
down in the Prospectus for Admission to Integrated 5 Year LL.B Course 2016-17 available in
the website www.cee-kerala.org. Candidates are advised to carefully read the Prospectus
before submitting their applications.
