DEPARTMENT OF TECHNICAL EDUCATION AND TRAINING, GOVT. OF WEST BENGAL
The Department of Technical Education & Training operates through following 3 Directorates and 3 State Councils to facilitate technical education and skill training in the state.
1. Directorates:
- A. Directorate of Technical Education and Training -3 years diploma courses are offered in the different disciplines of Engineering / Technology through different Polytechnics.
B. Directorate of Industrial Training
3 years / 2 years / 1 year / 6 month duration NCVT (National Council of Vocational Training) recognized training courses under Craftsman Training Scheme are offered through ITIs. National Apprenticeship Training is also implemented.
C. Directorate of Vocational Education and Training
Vocational Education and Training programme at VIII + level (6 months duration) and at X+2 level (2 years duration) are offered through different vocational Training Centres (VTCs)
2. State Councils:
A. West Bengal State Council of Technical Education B. West Bengal State Council for Vocational Training C. West Bengal State council of Vocational Education and Training
Applicant must Download WBSCVT admit card/ Call letter 2016 for the Entrance Exam its must to take participate in the Examination. Applicants must take a ID proof of himself in the Examination for the Identification of himself.
